MANAGER OF THE YEAR 2006 Simon Clark, Manager of Tiptree Building Supplies, was awarded the Builders Merchant News national award for Builders Merchant Simon took over the reins of Tiptree in 2004 and immediately began laying down the plans to maximise the potential of this family run Builders Merchant. Sales have increased by 150% to over £4 million in the last 3 years by redesigning the yard and the shop layout, bringing in new stock and new and experienced staff. Customer service was and always will be our top priority. This award is a great credit and recognises the achievements of Simon and the staff at Tiptree in the last 3 years. It sits proudly with the Runners Up Award they won in 2005 for the Best Single Branch Independent Builders Merchant.
